The Australian Dodgeball League has arrived!

The most elite dodgeball league in Australia is set to launch in March 2015.

Beginning with the Victorian Dodgeball League (VDL), with the New South Wales Dodgeball League (NSWDL) to follow soon after, each state/territory will eventually have their own state level dodgeball league.

The state level leagues will compete monthly. At the end of the season, the top two teams from each state/territory will compete in the Australian Dodgeball Championships in November 2015.

This is is huge step forward for dodgeball in Australia - the sport is going to be massive!

To be the best, you’ve gotta beat the best.

VDL Key Details

  • Rounds held monthly on a Saturday from 3pm - 6pm.
  • Venue: University High School (opposite the University of Melbourne).
  • First season will be limited to 8 teams.
  • Teams will play 2 x 40 minute matches each round.
  • Teams will play 14 matches over the 7 month season.
  • Round fee: $140 (includes 2 x 40 minute matches).
  • Bond: $140 (Due prior to the start of season).
  • Player registration fee: $35 which includes your team jersey with individual name and number!


  • Teams will be representing a suburb of their choosing.
  • Teams will select a mascot and jersey from one of the designs below.
  • Mixed teams with a minimum of 2 females on court.
  • Each team will have a team page on the website as well as player profiles.
  • Teams are encouraged to get sponsors. Sponsor logos will be uploaded to team pages and printed on jerseys.
  • Teams must register by the end of February 2015.
